Veronica’s funeral was held this week , This was our tribute
“We’re pretty confident that rugby wasn’t Veronica’s 1st (or even 2nd or 3rd) choice and there’s little doubt the finer points of the game probably remained a mystery to her but that didn’t stop her becoming such an important part of our club over the past 15 odd years.
You only have to look at the comments on our Facebook page to know how much Veronica meant to generations of boys -particularly our Colts – who played for our club
When we lost Paul all those years ago, the Club named a trophy in his memory and for the decade since Veronica has proudly presented it each year to the winner. In truth, this trophy was just as much for Veronica’s contribution to our Club
We will all miss her dreadfully”
