Eastwood Juniors in partnership with Eastwood Seniors is excited to announce a new structure.
With the emergence of Girls Rugby, 7s Rugby, Academies, alongside the boys XV's Representative Rugby program, the role of the Eastwood Juniors Representative Coordinator has grown exponentially over the last 5 years.
Starting in November 2023 Craig Hawkings has been appointed as Head of Academies & Junior Representative programs. Craig will be responsible for the management of the Eastwood Juniors Academy along with the creation of the Rugby program for Girls & Boys XVs & 7s Representative Seasons. Craig will still continue his role as Operations Manager Eastwood Rugby.
Craig will work towards further aligning the Eastwood Pathway, from Junior Village Clubs to Reps to Colts and ultimately through to First Grade.
Additionally, Craig will be instrumental in the Coaching selection of our District Representative sides. The role will also include, ensuring our District Coaches skill levels are current and maintaining our high standards both on and off the field.
The Eastwood District Juniors Committee will work closely with the Seniors with Fundraising/Financials, Accommodation for the travelling teams, Social Media, Gear Management & liaising with NSW Juniors and Sydney Juniors.
The new structure will provide Eastwood with a clear pathway from the Junior Representative level, into Colts, Grade and beyond to higher representative honours. It is another very exciting development for Rugby within the Eastwood District and we hope you will join us in supporting Craig in the new role.
