What an incredible long weekend for Eastwood Rugby. Across six teams, six venues and hundreds of kilometres travelled, our players proudly represented the blue and white at the 2026 NSW Rugby Union State Championships. While every team had different results on the field, the one thing they all had in common was the way they represented Eastwood - with passion, resilience, sportsmanship and pride. This week TG Millner hosted the inaugural Sydney West Schools Rugby Union Championship with Mitchell High School taking on Epping Boys High School in an exciting and closely contested U14 Rugby Union match. We've lost one of the good blokes from the Club Long time coach of Colts and lower grade, Phil loved his footy. Originally, he came to Hillview Rugby in 2002 and coached a winning team then moved to the Woods where he coached until we won the 2013 Henderson Shield. 3rd Grade was the only team on that day who beat University - they were going for 7 out of 7. Luckly Phil's team stopped the rot and made it only 6 out of 7 :). A mighty effort appreciated by all in the stands at the old Concord...
